If you have decided to purchase a vibrator for the first time, we are excited for you to experience the pleasure you can achieve from using one.  Read our buying guide 'Choosing The Right Sex Toy' which will help you find the vibrator that is right for you.  Once you decide on a particular vibrator, here are some ideas to enjoy a total orgasmic experience with your new vibrator.

Clean and Check Your Vibrator Prior To Use

Make sure you clean your vibrator with mild soap and water, or with a Sex Toy Cleaner. If the vibrator is not waterproof, be careful not to get water near the battery compartment. Check to make sure the battery cover is not broken, there are no cracks or rips in the toy, and the control buttons are working properly. Insert the batteries according to the instructions. If the vibrator does not turn on, do not assume that it is defective or broken. Make sure the batteries are placed in the right direction, and the cap if tightly screwed on (if applicable.) If the vibrator is not in working order or defective in any way, contact the seller immediately.

Use Your Vibrator Alone For The First Time

If you plan on using your vibrator with your partner, get comfortable with your vibrator by using it alone for your first time. Feel the texture of the vibe and see how it feels on different areas of your body. If you purchased an insertable vibrator, you may want to use a lubricant and insert it vaginally without the vibrations on to get comfortable with the vibrator's size and texture. Once you feel at ease, try out the different speeds and vibration modes. Set aside enough time to really explore yourself and the sensations that your vibrator has to offer. In addition, if you are going to share your vibrator with a partner, use a condom over the toy to play it safe.

Create a Comfortable Atmosphere

You want to make sure that you are totally relaxed and not worried if your roommates, children, or partner will hear you. Allow yourself time to totally explore yourself and familiarize yourself with this vibe. Especially if this is your first time, you want to give yourself total privacy. This is an exciting moment for you. You want your first time to be as enjoyable as possible. Dim the lights, read an erotic novel while using it, or even turn on a movie with intense sex scenes, or imagine using the vibe with your lover. You will be completely turned on and may achieve multiple orgasms with your vibrator.

After the Experience

Make sure you clean your vibrator with mild soap and water or a sex toy cleaner. Store your vibrator in a cool, dry area. Do not store your vibrator in direct sunlight, as it could affect the materials of the vibe. Make sure you remove the batteries prior to storing your vibrator to preserve the battery life and avoid the possibility that the vibrator turns on. Place your vibrator in a soft toy pouch, or wrap it in a soft towel and place in a shoe box.

I bought Dr. Laura Berman's Intimate Basics Siena Item # SE973840 on 9/17/2009 and I hardly used it. The plastic top disintergated!
