Does a man's & woman's pheromone need to match to become excited by each other or is it just the smell of any pheromone?????

You present an interesting question. One that needed some consideration and a bit of research! What I have found, searching the latest scientific literature is that there is still little known and much to learn about the powers of those odorless attraction chemicals we call pheromones. What the scientist do know is that there are chemicals that act as signals and play a role in social interaction and communication in many animal species. Though some people would like us to believe they have found a way to bottle the stuff, the scientists in the labs still have not determined the actual chemical nature of human pheromones…though they have some ‘guesses’.
Your question was whether there needed to be a ‘match’ in pheromones between partners in order for there to be sexual excitement. Interestingly, one study I read found that pigtail macaques and squirrel monkeys responded to the human chemicals believed to act as pheromones. Not quite a ‘match’ yet still effective.
Now there has been some research on the effects of other odors on human attraction and sexual arousal. For example, it was found that males are much more sensitive to smells and experienced up to a 40% arousal while smelling pumpkin pie. For females, the smell of good and plenty candy got their blood pumping to the erotic zones.
