I don't know if you'd be able to answer my question. It took me while to realize from my past sexual relationships that I am a lesbian. I've dated men and have had sex with them but I've never really had *orgasms*, I love the female body, and have made out with women during college and I've had more orgasms in one night than I have with the male relationships. I already have low self-esteem about my image but how would I go about *coming out* about being a lesbian when my family and friends expect me to marry a man? I don't know what to do? I'm totally infatuated with a friend of mine at work and she is straight. Help!

Coming out to friends and family can be very difficult but living unauthentically can be more so. It often takes much courage to live life being true to yourself. And it often takes a lot of support from friends and family. There is a wonderful website that provides excellent information and guidance regarding the ‘coming out process’. It is www.hrc.org .
