Having sex is not only pleasureable, but it also has its health benefits. Some of us may depise going to the gym, eating health foods, but, most of us, do enjoy sex. Having sex does more than brightening up your day. Benefits such as boosting your immune system and lowering your blood pressure are some benefits. Next time you have sex, think about how your are doing something healthy for yourself. Remember, unless you are in a completely monogamous relationship, it is always important to use condoms to protect yourself against STDs.
We all have stress. Stress for work, finances, daily life in general. Stress can take quite a toll on your body. It can lead to potential health problems including high blood pressure, panic attacks, etc. Studies have shown that having sex relieves stress and can lower your blook pressure. When you are stressed out, this can also cause difficulty sleeping as your body cannot relax. When you have good sex, your orgasmic release has a calming after affect. Therefore, your body becomes more relax, tensions are released, and you are able to fall asleep easier.
Having sex reduces your risk of heart disease. A study conducted in 2001 researchers found that men that have sex three or more times a week reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke by half.
Want to lose weight? Forget about about all those exercise DVDs or gym memeberships! Just kidding. However, When you have sex, you can actually burns more than 80 calories. therefore, the more sex you have, in essence, you are getting some good exercise. And remember, those calories will add up.
Other benefits of having sex include improvement in self esteem, boost of your immune system, and even pain relief!
