Shaft is not soft at all, kinda hurts when you move. straps are chinsy and only adjust to fit very petite women. vibrations are very weak compared to other toys. but it did get the job done.

Haven't tried anything else by way of toys yet, but this one is no good for me. Eats its expensive batteries like crazy, and mine had the batteries explode inside of it. Straps are, as mentioned, for the /very/ petite among us, and cut off circulation. Straps tore through soft jelly holders in the first I owned; in the replacement, the ears recently came off. Not recommended.
